Process
One of the most common questions we receive is “How does this work?” iKitchens Etc utilizes the design/specification/build system for our projects. This is a complete process that enables us to design your project, select all fixtures, appliances, and materials prior to lifting a finger in construction. We spend a considerable amount of time planning out every aspect of your project, including specifications, budget, and schedule. Below is an outline of the process.
1) Connection
Contact us or stop by our Design Studio in East Falmouth to discuss your goals, plans, and budget.
2) Evaluation
If the project looks like a good fit, one of our design professionals will perform a complimentary in-home visit to discuss suggestions and solutions, along with preliminary budget requirements.
3) Design Development
After entering into a Design and Specification Agreement, we develop a design including 3D renderings. We also work with you to specify materials for your project that are appropriate for your budget. The cost of this phase ranges in price from $400-$700 depending on complexity and takes about 2-4 weeks.
4) Estimate
Once the design is completed and approved, we produce a detailed estimate of the cost of your project. This estimate is typically reviewed at our design studio with your designer and a member of our production team.
5) Contract
This is the final phase of the estimate including all design specifications along with the payment schedule and project timeline.
6) Pre-Construction
We enter the contract into our cloud based project management software (CoConstruct) and schedule an on-site pre-construction review visit with one of our project managers.
7) Construction
Our talented team of employees and subcontractors turn your design into reality.
8) Substantial Completion Walk-through
We will walk through the project with you to discuss any outstanding work and develop a punch list of any remaining items to be completed.
9) Post Project Wrap Up & Project information
We will provide you with information regarding the project materials used, warranties and maintenance information.
10) Follow-up
We follow up with you to answer any questions that might come up and start talking about your next project with iKitchens Etc!
