Choosing a contractor can be tricky. We believe price alone should not be the final determination. Our values and work ethic as a Design/Build remodeling contractor are an integral part of our success.

Design/Specify/Build

We believe the design/specify/build process is the most efficient and cost-effective way to handle remodeling projects.  This process allows for one company to produce the design, specify/supply all the materials and perform the construction.  At iKitchens, we want to be responsible for everything!  This eliminates dealing with multiple companies and the inevitable finger-pointing if something goes wrong.  We own all the successes and can deal effectively with the occasional problem.

Communication & Coordination

iKitchens Etc. handles all the details of a project including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, flooring, electrical, plastering and painting.  As a general contractor we will provide all the services necessary to completely remodel your kitchen, bathroom or home.

We believe communication is key to a successful remodeling project.  Therefore, we have invested in cloud-based project management software package (CoConstruct) which has revolutionized our ability to effectively communicate with you and implement your dreams.  We post photos of your project almost daily and publish an on-line schedule so you can see the timeline of your project start, middle and end.

Timing

Prior to starting the onsite work of a project, we have all the materials needed and establish a timeline for completion.  Customers who utilize our remodeling services are very surprised at how efficiently the project flows.  We show up when we say we are going to show up, do what we say we are going to do and finish the project as committed.

License and Insurance

We are a licensed general contractor and home improvement contractor in Massachusetts (CS 98967).  It is important to us that we protect our property, your property and our team members.  We provide $2,000,000 in liability insurance.  Everyone that works on your project is covered by workers compensation.  This level of insurance provides protection to the homeowner in the event of an unforeseen accident.

Employees and Subcontractors

Our employees and subcontractors set us apart from other contractors.  We have assembled a team of responsible, vetted, top-notch craftsmen.  They show up on time, work efficiently and have the tools and talent to deal with any unexpected problems.  Everyone on the iKitchens Etc. payroll is paid a living wage.  A good wage allows us to hire loyal, professional and highly qualified employees.

We have worked with the same team of subcontractors for years, because they are great at what they do.  The subcontractors (plumbing, electric, painting, etc.) allow us to round out the skills necessary to handle all aspects of your project.   

Cleanliness

We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our jobsite. Remodeling can be messy if the correct steps are not followed. By isolating the project area, the rest of the house can be protected from dust and debris.  We set up dust containment walls, use HEPA vacuum cleaners, HEPA whole house filters and floor protection products to help keep your house as clean and safe as possible.  Each day we clean the job site, providing a tidy space, ready for the homeowner’s evening return.
